County Agricultural Profiles
The Census of Agriculture, conducted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture once every five years was most recently released in May 2015 with data covering 2012. This release revealed that there were nearly 47,000 jobs in Utah's agricultural sector in 2012 — more than 3.5 percent of total employment. As a whole, Utah had more than 18,000 farms and nearly 11 million acres of farmland in 2012.
