Purpose: The Utah Refugee Services Office is pleased to announce the dates of the 2008 Utah Refugee Conference the first since 2003. This years conference celebrates a new beginning for refugee resettlement in Utah, with the culmination of the Refugee Working Groups work, the creation of the new state Refugee Services Office and the new Refugee Advisory Board. The event will allow us to see how far we have come together in this first year and to discuss where we need to go. November 14 will include information sharing and opportunities for dialogue of interest to all refugee community stakeholders. November 15 will focus on the interests and issues of refugee communities and community organizations.
Who Should Attend: Refugee-specific service providers; Mainstream service providers that serve refugees; Refugee leaders and refugee community organizations; Refugees, Asylees, Torture Survivors and Human Trafficking victims; Volunteers, and Representatives of Federal, State and Local Governments.
