Utah Telephone Assistance Program (UTAP)
UTAP provides an additional discount on home landline phone service for eligible Utah customers only. The UTAP program does not provide a discount for wireless or broadband services.
How to Qualify
You may be eligible for UTAP if you have a home landline through a participating phone company, and you qualify either by income or by program.
- To qualify by income, your gross household income must be at or below 135% of the federal poverty level.
Effective: December 1, 2016
Add $468 for each additional person
- To qualify by program, someone in your household is receiving help from one of the following programs: Medicaid, SNAP, Federal Public Housing Assistance, and/or SSI.
