There’s a lot of economic opportunity in Utah these days (more than 22,000 open jobs in our labor exchange alone) and at Workforce Services we strive to help people take advantage of that opportunity. But some Utahns face additional barriers in doing that. One example is families living in intergenerational poverty.
We’ve launched our Next Generation Kids pilot program to see which interventions best help these families achieve economic stability and break out of poverty. The Deseret News and KSL both visited this program in Ogden, and highlighted one participant who says the program is life-changing for her and her son.
