The Division of Adjudication is an autonomous, quasi-judicial agency housed in the Department of Workforce Services. Its primary function is to hear and decide appeals arising from decisions made by Department of Workforces Services concerning unemployment insurance, public assistance, and training services.
Any unemployment insurance decision issued by the Department of Workforce Services may be appealed by the claimant or the employer to the Division of Adjudication Appeals Unit. The denial of public assistance and training services may also be appealed to the Division of Adjudication Appeals Unit by the customer negatively affected by the decision.
